pc build

Looking just after xmas on building a new pc, have around £1500 to play with although can go a little more if really needed.

reading reviews from this and other sites and forums i've put together a list of components from OCUK and I was just wondering if I could get some comments on if these would be a good system to work together of if I should change anything on the list for an alternative.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and Merry Christmas :)

oh also forgot to ask, what 1366 cpu cooler would you suggest and would AS5 compound be best to use on this system? it wont be overclocked i doubt but not sure if the cpu cooler compound would be enough.

Thanks

If you're definately not OC'ing then the stock will be fine, but if you're thinking of OC'ing in the future then yes AS5 is best stuff to use, and its best to do it from scratch as it saves you messing about later, not sure about cooler i'm afraid but having had a quick look theres only 2 decent ones for 1366, asus triton 81 or noctua nh-u12p (unsuprisingly theyre the 2 most expensive, lol)

Akasa Nero 1366 CPU Cooler is supposed to be decent.

Swap the Tagan PSU for a PC Power & Cooling, Enermax or Corsair equivalent. Get a 320GB HDD for the boot drive (1TB for booting is slower).

Ok after reading yet more reviews decided to change again to the corsair TX750, was a little put off because its not modular but don't look like to much of a job to just tidy the cables away in the case i've chosen.
