After lots of deabte and reading here just got hold of a ************ 15" enigma specced with a fast i5, a 5650 card, fast 320HD, 4gb, spare battery, decent carry case, three year warranty and office 2010 for just under £1000.
Though its a plain looking rig perfromance so far has been good and gaming has been good also, only loaded Dragon Age so far, at least as good as my 2 year old mid range desk top. Haven't tested the battery life yet but service wise everything has been seamless so far. I had ordered the old Office with it as it was still advertised and got a mail to say they had the new version now and one phone call later it was all sorted. Overall they underpromised and overdelivered regarding build and delivery time and I got mine within 10 days.
As this laptop has been mentioned a few times on here but news of customer service hasn't really been reported and its a pretty good alternative to the Dell and Sony and HD for that matter I just thought I would report a positive experiance so far.
