PC specs for home theatre 1080p

Hi, I;m looking to build a PC from scratch that will be able to output a 1080p signal over HDMI to a projector.

Is it possible for someone to spec me a PC that could do this? I'm not interested in games, just enough for it to be able to handle the output of that.

As little as possible TBH mate. I presume that most CPU's will be able to deal with the processing, and that it's the gfx card that is key?

I'm just after the core specs really - required CPU, GFX and RAM.

2ghz dual core, 2GB RAM, ATI 2600Pro, Microsoft IR remote/receiver. XP Home and Media Portal.. and the usual other PC components.

How about a E4500, it's 2.2ghz but has a miniscule 1mb cache. Will that hurt it?

Shouldn't be a problem, as you say, graphics card is key.

Nope, running a E2180 & Ati HD3850 on mine (its for playing the odd game too)
