PC starting but not booting

Hi All,
I have a PC which I have had for 3 years and it has been working fine until last week when it just stopped. On pressing the power button the PC powers ON but immediately stops, the display on the motherboard showing a zero before it turned OFF. I have removed the graphics card which made no difference. I then removed the two sticks of RAM and restarted the PC. This time it starts and gets to code 53 and stays ON. Searching Google shows that it requires RAM to be installed which is understandable. Next I inserted one of the RAM sticks in all the slots one at a time. They all give the same code of 19 before turning off. Now if I put two sticks into the appropriate slots then I get back to the PC turning on and then immediately turning off. So I thought it may be a RAM issue but I am not an expert so just want to confirm if it is ram before I go out and buy something. Anyone able to help, please.

Specs
Motherboard: ASRock Z170 Extreme4
CPU: i7 6700k
RAM: 16GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000MHz
Graphics Card: 1080 Founder Edition

It would be unusual for 2 sticks of ram to be faulty at the same time.

Disconnect non essential items like usb devices.

Try resetting the cmos on the motherboard.

Check all power cables.

Was the system clocked?

If so, as mentioned above, reset the CMOS and if you can get then get back into the BIOS sit there for while checking temps.

Unplug system, press case power button to deplete all residual power and then briefly bridge gap on pins with a screwdriver. If that doesn't work, remove the battery for 20 minutes.

If no luck, run a skeleton setup and unplug everything from motherboard that's not needed - expect for CPU (use the iGPU), 1 stick of memory and see if it kicks back to life. If it does - add components until it buckles.

*PSU brand/model/age?

Agree, it would be unusual for 2 sticks of ram to be faulty at the same time.
I have just disconnected all none essential items such as usb devices and any additional fans. I have also reset the CMOS by taking the battery out and pressing the power button to discharge and then waiting for 30 mins. There seems to be no difference in behaviour.

The PSU is the same age as the rest of the computer and was built at the same time. It is a Be Quiet! 700W (Pure Power 9) unit.

In my mind, I don't think it is the RAM or the Power unit. I think it is probably the motherboard. if not the motherboard then CPU (I hope not the CPU). The problem I have is that I can test this.

Does anyone know what the code 19 would mean? I read somewhere that it was related to the initialisation of the southbridge but no idea what that means and I can't find that link anymore.

It would be good to understand the correct sequence. so it starts with 0 and then goes to 19 but I don't know what the next number is. Maybe the failure is at the next step but there is no time to display the code before the machine powers off.

00 is a processor error code, 19 is an informative code about "memory refresh tested" not an error code and 4C is also informative this time about clearing extended memory for soft reset. The info can be found here. I would recommend you remove the CPU and check for damaged pins on the motherboard socket.

List of debug codes

Looks like cpu or motherboard The bios could be corrupted also.

I have a switch for moving between two bios and the behaviour is the same for both so I don't think the bios have been corrupted unless both have been at the same time. I don't understand how the pins may be damaged. I assume they only get damaged by physical means and given that this pc has not been opened since it was built then there is no logic here. The PSU, I don't know if this is an issue it all looks fine. Everything is so linked that I would basically have to order a motherboard, CPU and PSU to confirm what the issue is. In this case, I might as well build a new computer.
