Apologies in advance for any typos, using my phone for this.

I've just received an MSi X79A-GD45 Plus to go with the Xeon E5-1650/3930K, put it all together and now it's stuck in a reset loop even before the BIOS screen.

I've tried all the usual stuff like removing RAM and booting with the bare essentials, trying all the cables again, clearing/resetting CMOS, flicking the BIOS switch on the motherboard and I don't know what else to try. Any help would be appreciated as I've been at it over the last 4 hours and it's still just resetting itself.

Have you checked to see if the bios needs updating to work with the CPU or was both bought together as a bundle and known to be working?

also might be worth checking the cpu cooler is not done up too tight

Got to the bottom of it now. It was one of the pins on the motherboard which was bent, used a pin and straightened it and seems fine now. Now just to overclock it but I have no idea how.
