Hi,

I have a PC that I use as a server now as I bought an iMac for my main computer duties.

I leave it on all the time and I've never had a problem with it previously, until today.

Earlier this morning it was working fine and I was streaming music to my iMac and PS3 from it, but when I came back up stairs the screen was just black.

I have tested it with another monitor but the same thing happens, "No Signal".

I'm thinking it's the graphics card but unfortunately I don't have another PCI-Express card to test it with.

Anyone have any idea what it could be other than the graphics? Any ideas would be great as I'm stumped at the mo!

Thanks :)

If you still have the manual, pull out various componants one and at a time and try and get an error beep from the motherboard.

My PC last year just died, because the motherboard was knackered. wouldnt even beep on start up.

It's a Shuttle i'm running on if that changes anything.

Not getting any beeps at all from the motherboard. All that happens is the fans start up and the HDD light comes on, can't even put num lock on the keyboard.

Just tried taking the graphics card totally out and the same thing happens as if it was still in there.

Might have just died, it's a few years old now.

Maybee its on strike

you bought an iMac and its gone on the blink in protest :p

pretend you are getting rid of the iMac and shout at it Very Loudly and maybe it will start working again :D

Worth a try , you never know.....

Please post back with results :p
