PC Switches On And Off For A Second When Starting

I've had my Palit Super Jetstream GPU delivered today and since I installed it when I turn my PC on it switches on for about half a second then switches off then starts as normal.

I've connected it to my PC with a cable that came with my EVGA G2 850W power supply that has a 6 pin connection (I think! Can't quite remember now!) and a 6+2 connection making up the 8 for the 6 and 8 sockets on the GPU respectively.

Is that going to be a problem or will I have to dig around for another separate 8 pin cable to plug into the GPU..?

Windows appears to be working fine but I haven't tried benchmarking or overclocking yet.

That PSU has a single 70 Amp 12v Rail so it doesn't matter that your using the 8 and 6 pin plugs on the same cable, it all comes from the same rail anyway.

Does that Motherboard have dual BIOS? the UEFI BIOS might not like the GPU so its switch to Legacy, that could be why its starting and then shutting off and starting again.

Be that as it may look for a BIOS update.

Pronlem solved, it must have been the BIOS realising that I didn't have my iGPU connected and switched to the discrete GPU during that first boot up.

I'm now having the BSOD when running Firestrike Extreme and Ultra but I'll see if that's my overclocked CPU and DDR4 not playing nice with the Super Jetstream card by loading the default clocks.

Thanks for your help! :D

Mine does it all the time i switch on, i think its the 'Memory Training' (it can be disabled in the BIOS), if its starting normal, then it means your memory is fine (stable) at its set speed.
