PC switching off when gaming

Bought myself a BFG 8800GTX OC last week. After installing pc was refusing to boot properly. As I have a cheap 550W Colorsit PSU I figured that might be the problem, so removed an optical drive and sure enough it then booted. I've played Medieval 2 without any problems, HL2 also. But this morning I started Stalker up for the first time, and my pc just switched off 10 mins in.Temps seem fine, so I'm guessing it's the psu causing the problems.

Does that sound about right? I'm off to buy one of those ThermalTake W0099 GPU PSUs if it is.

Rest of system:

AMD Opteron 165 @ 2.5GHz
Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe
1 gig Corsair value ram
Soundblaster 2 platinum
2 Sata drives
one dvdr drive

I'll say the Colorsit PSU is the problem. I had one on my old 939 3200 system, but when I built my AMD X2 5600+ with more more ram and stuff, the PSU was burning for about 10 days before the PC shut down when playing Tomb Raider Anniversary. Change it for something more reliable.

Figured as much. My Opteron chip seems like like juice too. Until I do a full system upgrade I'll reduce the strain on the psu with one of those Thermaltake W0099 gpu psu's.

Thanks for the confirmation chaps/chapesses.
