Hi,

PC at work (not one in signature) is switching on after powering off.

So far I have tried.

Disconnecting all peripherals at rear
Set bios defaults
Re-set Cmos (pulled battery)

Any thoughts?

Wake on LAN or wake on USB or timed wakeup in BIOS?

Other than that maybe a dodgy power switch or a prankish ghost?

Do you have cleaners at work who are maybe unplugging a power socket for their hoover? when they plug your pc back in if its set to "on" in the power loss state section in the BIOS it will turn on??

Does it come on straight away or is this an overnight thing... do you power off at the end of the day but its on when you get there in the morning?

What sort of set up is it at work? you on your own in an office or a shared area?

Ever played around with the switches in any way?

Does it do it straight away or do you just come in and it's on again:?

I had something like this early on with my build and it turned out to be something shorting the motherboard in a very odd way. I had to strip it all out, make sure everything was bolted down correctly and that no wires were touching anything and it was all good in the end.

No ghosts and no cleaners at work.

It is a instant thing, switch of via start menu on windows 7 > Shutdown

Then pc switches off but restarts almost instantly.
