Hi

Just replaced my 7970s for EVGA 780ti's. Now the PC gets stuck at bios screen from a cold boot or restart. It does the normal beep and sits there, then beeps again. After the 4th beep the PC boots and windows loads normally. Does the same with 1 card. Put a 7970 vack in and PC boots fine. Havent tried any games as cards came very late. Drivers installed fine and SLI is detected.

Rest of specs in sig.

thanks:)

If the latest Beta BIOS will not help to fix the issue you can for testing try to disable PCI.E Gen 3, just to see if it will make any difference. If you are somehow able to cross test the card in a different system (friend, fam) I would suggest to give this also a try to see what it will do in another system.

Thanks guys. Ran some benchmarks today and cards seem fine. Tot 144 average in Sleeping Dogs. I'll update bios 1 day to fix the boot but don't wanna do it unless I really have to incase sommit breaks.

it won't break!!!

just flash through qflash and a usb stick and you'll be fine, and beta bios are safe to use ive yet to have one cause me any trouble

(if it doesn't cure it you can always flash back to your original bios)

There are lots of guides on how to flash the bios's, and they are often needed to fix stability issues just read up and youll be fine :)
