Hi,

Was not sure on the best place to post this.

I was thinking of picking up a 8m HDMI Cable and connecting my Gaming PC to my AV Receiver, which in turn already outputs to my TV and Projector.

So my thoughts were this.
- Connect PC to AV Receiver using 8m HDMI
- Setup Steam to launch games to 2nd screen
- Set Windows Audio Playback to Nvidia HDMI
- Set AV to either TV or projector.
- Use Wireless 360 Pad

Are there any issues I'm likely to encounter getting the Picture and Audio across?

oops. Graphics card is the Nvidia Geforce 670

Should be no issues with audio/picture. You may experience some issues with games not running in the desired window (fullscreen mode would typically go to the primary monitor). But you can use Win+P to go to projector only which should hopefully do the trick - but perhaps someone with a similar setup may have some experienced insight :)

Thanks for replying. Regarding the desired Window for games I believe Steam Big Picture mode takes care of this as there is an option to default the target screen within the settings (On Steam). I'm only assuming this will apply to games launched though so thanks for the warning.

That's what I do with my pc. Shouldn't have any problems, simple setup. One oversight which really annoys me though is the inability to use a gamepad to operate windows 8. Should be a standard feature. They really missed a trick with that.

Excellent. Hopefully this will go as smoothly as I 'dreamed'

I'm looking at this as just a test for now. Trailing the HDMI cable across rooms, but all being well I'll be putting the cable under the floorboards next time we decorate (hopefully before Christmas).

Besides those Windows controls I also expecting to have to mouse click a few game pre loading configuration screens. Skyrim springs to mind, but I'm sure there are many more.
