Hey guys,

Been a while since I've asked for help here but I'm back!

I recently bought myself a new LG323000 telly, and am currently trying to hook it up to my PC via a 3870, HDMI adapter and HDMI cable.

CCC finds the TV fine and enables it, but from here I'm stuck. The TV picture is constantly flickering on and off (though it doesn't actually lose signal) and there's some very visable scan lines.

Am I missing something obvious (or not so?). I have of course checked all the connections and they seem to be fine.

Cheers.

Have you tried different refresh rates?

Do you have OC and fanspeed override facility unlocked on CCC?
If yes, then try uninstalling ATI drivers, then install it again.

I've tried changing resolution and refresh through windows and it does abolutely nothing. Infact, whatever I choose the resolution will always default back to 1024x768 =S

EDIT: Rebooted and it showed the generic XP loading screen perfectly, then dived when desktop loaded...

After some more mucking about, I can get it to display correctly if I set it to Extended desktop and set the TV res to 800x600. Anything higher and it either gives no signal (I assume the TV doesn't support these res') or it displays with big scan lines and sporadic cut-outs.

Any chance it could boil down to the HDMI cable I have letting me down at higher resolutions?
