Recommended VR systems requirements (VR graphics settings): OS 64-bit Windows 10; DirectX11;
CPU: Core i5+ at 3+ GHz or AMD FX / Ryzen;
RAM: 16 GB (32 GB for heavy missions);
Free hard disk space: 350 GB on Solid State Drive (SSD);
Discrete video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 / AMD Radeon RX VEGA 64 or better;
Joystick; requires internet activation.

This would be my base

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £706.42 (includes shipping: £10.50)

Then add a gpu of your choice:

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £669.89 (includes shipping: £9.90)

or

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £629.89 (includes shipping: £9.90)

or

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £539.89 (includes shipping: £9.90)

Or what ever your budget allows.

8 core Ryzen 5800X would be good.
Though if wanting PC to last longest time without other than GPU upgrades playing future's heavy games and keeping stuff open no banckground, then 12 core 5900X would have cores for background stuff.

For motherboard MSI B550 Tomahawk would do fine for no Wifi.
B550 Gaming Edge would have Wifi.
MSI MPG B550 Gaming Edge WiFi (AMD AM4) B550 ATX Motherboard= £139.99
After that it's X570 territory with current discount pricing of X570 Tomahawk.
MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk WiFi (AMD AM4) DDR4 X570 ATX Motherboard= £179.99

DCS World could exceed 16GB RAM usage, so 32GB RAM would be good choise.
Besides leaving spare room for background stuff with future's games.

For higher memory options this Crucial has really good timings:
Crucial Ballistix 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 PC4-28800C16 3600MHz Dual Channel Kit= £169.99
Though it's out of stock unlike this Kingston:
Kingston HyperX Predator 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 PC4-28800C17 3600MHz Dual Channel Kit (HX436C17PB3K2/32)= £179.99
And for top memory there's this Samsung B-die kit guaranteeing dual rank and command interleaving, which boosts performance comparable to step up in memory clock speed.
Team Group 8Pack Edition 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 PC4-28800C16 3600MHz Dual Channel Kit= £199.99
