Wasnt sure where to put this, but I want to connect my tv to my pc, but at the same time still keep my monitor connected to my pc too. I have twin DVI outputs and the TV has a VGA connector, so I was going to use a DVI to VGA adaptor.

My question is, is it easy to switch between the two when the pc is turned on? Or do I have to disconnect one to view the other? Cheers.

1. It is easy to switch between the two when the PC is on

If you use something like multimonitor, then you end up with a system tray icon that lets you enable/disable secondary display - plus choose which display is primary.

The only thing to remember is (certainly with my ATI) that the screen left as primary when you switch off remains primary when you switch back on (e.g. watching using TV, switch off - no signal on Monitor   broken graphics card :D )

Yeah that'll work fine. you may want to use powerstrip to create a monitor profile that will drive the pannel at native res, but BE CAREFUL, it is possible to knacker your telly this way. There's lots of useful info on the entech forums.

Thanks for the replies. I will look into this more on the entech forums and check out multimonitor. My card is an 8800GTS 320mb.

Help

Powerstrip doesnt support the 8800, and the display on my tv needs adjusting to the max resolution of the tv, which is 1366 x 768. How do I do this?

I have a wireless video sender that goes from the S-Video out on the card, to the tv. You can get a cable that does the same thing. (don't get a wireless sender tho, they dont work with 8800s)

I would like to use the VGA output on my tv though, and I already have a lead. Is there no other program that will let me resize my monitor to a custom res?
