PC to TV

If TV is Non HD then S-Video is the normal way to do it (I have did it since 2001 and Picture is perfect.

If its to watch normal AVI's to a large 1080p TV it then looks crap unless you can get it upscaled using software (I ain't seen anything do it well yet bar possibly them hardware boxes that cost £100's

To answer your OP again without sidelining like other posts, YES.

I have an s-video out to an old(ish) CRT TV. Its great for playing movies and iplayer. Not recommended for general computer use though picture isnt that great, but not noticable in movies.

yep but the picture will be awful with s-vhs.

S-VHS = enhanced VHS tape system

S-video - 4 pin yuvC video cable

A S-video connection is fine to output video to a 4:3 CRT TV (the desktop will flicker like mad). If it is to a wide-screen CRT then the aspect ratio will be completely out.

Just a quick update. It has worked rather well and is fine for watching films/the office etc. It took a while to get it to work though. The key was to delete the graphics drivers, set the PC to US and re-install them.

Thanks for the help folks
