Need a complete new system, keyboard, monitor, everything.

I create reports, spreadsheets and some graphic work with my digital camera. I save using USB and I have a cable for this and a software CD.

My children may want to research on the Internet and I will need to access email from home.

I transfer some large files, nearly 100Mb. They are usually database files from Microsoft Access.

I have lots of pictures and I would like to transfer these to the computer, if possible and I also would like to print my reports which also contain coloured graphs and charts.

Cost is not a big problem at this time although I'd obviuosly like to spend as little as possible.

Thats all the information i can think off right now, so what would you guys recommend.

if you want quad core then just pay extra and buy one, it will work on that Motherboard. change the HDD to a smaller one if 500Gb is too big. get 4GB of ram if you want, but a 64 bit operating system is required as well to see all the ram should you fet 4GB of ram. if the case is not what you want then again change it to one you like. i cant spec a monitor, as i dont know enough about the new ones to adivse you. the keyboard and mouse i leave in your hands as my choice may be unsuitable for you anyway. speakers i again leave with you as the best sound setup can depend on the size of the room. the printer if you need one will also be your choice since i assume you will be more familiar with them then i am (assuming you need one). drop the graphics card down to the 2400 series if you want but this will most likely stop any games being played on the pc. the spec should be quite overclockable should you wish to

Thanks for that.

The Q6600 does seem a good deal but i dont think i need a Quad Core really, i was looking at the E6750 bcos it seems fairly well priced and has an extra 3MB cache but im not to sure how that affects performance for what im looking to do.

Same thing about RAM really, is it worth getting 4GB over 2GB for what im looking to do, i think i might considering how cheap it seems to be.

Also i forgot to mention I'd probably fill up 500GB fairly quickly, so was looking for around 1.25TB's minimum although the 1TB harddrives seems to be really expensive considering the price of the 500GB's.
