Both of the above peices of software installed while divx updated. I was a bit keen with hitting next admittedly.
Done a bit of google and it appeared both were a pain to succesfully get rid of so decided to do a system restore. This failed (although windows said succesfull) and kept giving me bluescreens so had to undo the restore. Meaning....yup...stuck with the software again.
Anybody got any experiences of succesfully getting rid of them?
SymInstallStub doesn't even show in the uninstall programmes list.
Anyhelp (apart from this mornings awfil grammar and spelling
) appreciated.

I uninstalled the registry mechanic and other stuff that symInstallStub comes with, but it was still showing in my windows7firewall control. So i decided to delete the entry thinking that if it tries to access something it'll pop up and tell me.
In task manager it looks like nothing is running that could be linked to symInstall. Just need to see how it goes,
