My PC tower is currently on my desk, but I am looking at options for freeing up space. I know you should not put a tower on the carpet, but is it feasible to have it on a raised stand? I have seen a few options online, but am unsure whether it is a good idea, and if so which direction to go in.
Presumably the two issues are cooling and dust? I would say my PC already runs warmer than I would like, so if having it 6in off the carpet is going to affect that, then I wouldn't bother.
