Hi guys

I was mucking about with some cables at the back of my PC and it tripped the fuse board. Flicked the switch, power is back to everything, but my PC won't start.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Is this likely a dead PSU?

Will the damage have gone further into my PC?

Cheers all

Chris

Thanks guys - I'll try a fuse replacement in the morning when I can go out and get one!

I press the power button and nothing happens, when I say power back on I mean to the rest of the house. Sorry for the lack of clarity!

I tried a different plug this morning to no avail. I'm not sure if the mobo usually has a light on it. I'm going to try and replace the fuse on the original plug and see if that works but not optimistic. I've also got a new PSU ordered in case it's that.

One other thought - my PSU is mounted at the front of my case and there's a cable that links the PSU through to the plug at the back. Is it possible that this is the culprit?

Thanks everyone for your help on this. The PSU was shot unfortunately. Quite annoying as it was a quality unit and SFF PSUs are not cheap!
