Gents,
I have a problem, atm my PC will power up for maybe anywhere between 3secs to 5 minutes, normally on the lower end of the number
I recently had a power supply issue which was resolved with a new power supply, and all seemed to be well until today when this problem started.
I have tried the following:
I have checked all cables power, SATA etc and reseated them.
I have pulled out the power supply and have this outside the PC now for testing. If i use a power supply loop back connector the PC supply will stay on.
I have disconnected power to all but the MBoard, CPU and water cooling pump, and used the on-board video port and the problem still happens.
I have pulled the memory and used a single mem module and still have the problem.
I would have expected overheating to the the issue but the unit is not on long enough to build up any heat.
Next i thought i would completely unbuild and rebuild the PC to check for any shorts under the MBoard etc. But other than that i cannot think of anything else to try.
I think after rebuild if the problem remains i will have to RMA the MB and CPU back to Overclockers (Under year old) and have them check them out.
So Any advice???
