PC turned off when putting something in usb port?

Anyone know why? I'm pretty dumb with pc's btw, the whole building/taking them apart anyway, bought it from here about 6months ago

What case is it? I had the same problem with an old build using the CM HAF 932's front USB ports. Seems it wasn't grounding properly.

check your usb port for distortion and check that its not shorting with anything, I once had a magnet stuck to one of mine on the back of my case and it caused shorting a lot resetting my pc.

Just ring them and get them to sort it. They must have some sort of customer service for buyers.

hmm ok, was kinda trying to avoid that because id prefer to not send it off because i use it everyday, will ring them later then
