PC Turns Off

I have an old PC and after a while I find it turned off. To turn it on I have to remove the power plug from the back of the PSU and it only turns on when I put it back in and press the power button.

Any idea on where to start looking for the issue?

What are the specs?
Is it overclocked?
Have you enabled any sleep/hibernate states?

check PSU, clean it from dust and maybe reapply thermal paste on CPU/GPU.

I'd guess it's overheating.

does the fan spin? is it full of dust?
