Spec is pretty old. Gigabyte 970a-UD3P, 8GB DDR3, FX8320, XFX R9 280 DD. Super flower 550W Gold rated PSU.
Leading up to this I’ve had months of intermittent freezing at times where I’ve had multiple tasks operating (not sure if related). However I’ve had no BSODs etc.
I’ve resat the RAM, tried different slots with one at a time etc. I’ve took the cmos out and reset it etc. I’ve resat the GPU and reconnected the 24pin to the MOBO and all that jazz.
I’m having 2 short beeps on startup which according to Gigabyte codes is CMOS error.
As said the PC boots up and sounds “normal” but no display and no LEDS showing on the MOBO etc.
Any help would be much appreciated tyty

*fans also spinning on gpu/cpu/case

Now I’ve listened to YouTube BEEP code noises not even sure it is a beep code. Probably just the HDD on startup

2 short beep :CMOS Error
You can try to reseat the CMOS, which is best done for at least 15 minutes. CMOS batteries have roughly a lifespan of 5 years, so it might be time to replace it, depending on your systems age. They are fairly cheap and easy to order online, just make sure it’s exactly the same type of battery (check the engraving on it for the type-number).

Try a new battery first.

Hopefully saves you having to build a new PC.

That PC is such old that better to avoid spending more than candy/pocket money into it.
At that age BIOS battery (CR2032) is no doubt rather empty at best, so start from that.
