On Monday my micro x79 build begins, I need to know if a h100/h80 will be ok on the side of the lian li PC-U6B. Also the mesh is coming off for some fun modifications including more fans.

Hi Matt,
I have got the PC-U6B. I have been using an Antec Kúhler 620 in push/pull and it fits just. I don't know if you could get away with the thicker rad of the h80 before it would be touching the waterblock itself.

The bigger issue is the 2nd fan down and graphics cards. Initially I had a stock HD7970 and it was fine, but the noise drove me mad so I went for a Sapphire HD7970 VAPOR-X.
The problem is the shroud on the Vapor-X and many other custom coolers is a bit tall. ie it comes up over where you screw in the pci bracket (if that makes sense) and as a result I had to remove the 2nd fan down on the PC-U6B. I just wasn't possible to put the fan bracket on with that graphics card installed - I think this issue would be the case for pretty much any non reference cooler graphics card. I have since added a Scyth slimline 120mm but tbh I haven't noticed much thermal gain from it but it certainly adds to the noise.

The case is noisy... and hot. I will be changing to a Silverstone FT02 in the near future. The noise drives me mad. It wasn't something I have found in the reviews I read so I am half wondering if my psu is just very noisy.

The other issue I have had with the case is the plastic frame cracking. If you look at the photos of the case with the side off, you see where the side panels plug in? well at the lowest point of the case - the bottom curve - the plastic frame has cracked so the case bows slightly. With the side panels on you don't notice it but I have only had the case 14 months and this happened within about 3 months. I should have sent it back to OCUK when it happened but just left it and here I am now looking at a new case.

Give me a shout if you have any other questions about it.
