okay, so i did a memtest86 in dos.......
all ok at stock

raise fsb to 300 and BOTH sticks generate errors, regardless of speed and voltage.

but, put both in at same time in single channel only and all is fine at same FSB????

anyone care to enlighten me???
PLEASE!

if the ram runs at slightly different rates (ie ones getting errors) then you'll get issues with dual chan as they won't give the same results, but singles ok as they errors may be overlooked.
try upping the voltage.

or just leave it....it seems to be working

the reason dual channel is advised is becasue it helps with the stabilty of the memory controller, if its stable in non dual channel mode, it really doesnt matter if you have it dual or not.

i think anyway, i could be tottally wrong! :(
