Baically I've had my PC overclocked as below for the past few months, but recently it's being a bit of a pain. For some reason it seems to like crashing now, and all of the overclockedsettings have promptly disappeared.
The crash seems to occur when I'm doing 3D stuff (ie Games), but also if I leave my PC on for extended periods. Basically, the mouse cursor goes corrupt, then the machine locks up followed by a high pitched scream of pain from my PC and it trying desperately to restart itself with no POST. I find it odd because I left it on overnight and everything seemed fine, but after 2 seconds of moving the cursor it just locked up.
I've turned everything back to stock now, but it's still crashing, I've tested the graphics cards for heat issues but everything seems pretty cool. Just running diagnostics on the hard drives now, but I'm pretty sure it's not that. Will chuck memtest on afterwards followed by Orthos for an hour or so.
Anybody got any ideas as to whats causing this? There's no application error in windows, and nothing intense is running, just MSN, antivirus, coretemp and ultramon.
I did install the ATI hotfix recently, any chance it could be that? Thoughts and opinions needed! Ta guys!
