Hi All,

I am new to this forum so please forgive me if i sound like an absolute novice.

I am currently looking to upgrade my PC as it seems to be showing its age. My PC was custom built on PC Specialist by one of my friends who knows way more than myself about PC's back in 2016. I use my PC primarily for gaming as I don't own a console. Currently I play games like Rocket League which isn't so demanding and games like Modern Warfare which is more demanding. Currently i'm getting around 45 fps average when playing on the lowest settings on games like COD and games sometimes crash which is very frustrating.
I'm looking to upgrade my PC to eliminate these issues. I'm willing to spend up to £1000

My current specs:
CPU - AMD Athlon X4 860K Quad Core CPU (3.7GHz/FM2+)
Motherboard - ASUS® A88XM-PLUS: (M-ATX, DDR3, USB 3.0, 6Gb/s)
RAM - 16GB HyperX FURY DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz (2 x 8GB)
Graphics Card - 4GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 970 - 2 x DVI, HDMI, DP - GeForce GTX VR Ready!
CPU Cooling - STANDARD AMD CPU COOLER

As I know next to nothing about what any of this means, would anyone be able to point me in the right direction with what I should buy?

Thanks in advance.

Mark

Thank you both for your replies. I'm looking forward to playing on a new and improved PC. I still talk to my friend but he has lost interest in PC's and wasn't sure what was best for me.

Thanks once again.
