Hi,
I’ve had a pc for about 5 years but only recently thought about upgrading it. I want to get a new CPU and GPU, which I’m looking at the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and the Nvidia GTX 1660 super. However, as my knowledge is lacking I’m not sure whether my current motherboard would be compatible with an AMD processor as I currently have an Intel i5-6400 or if I have enough power supply. Any help would be very appreciated!:)

Nope sorry all intel motherboards do not support any AMD chips, in fact most intel Motherboards have trouble supporting the previous generation intel chips :p
Your looking at a new motherboard + cpu, possibly new ram, and as for the 1660 super er... i would consider something more power like an etchasketch.

You can save quite a bit of cash by going for the 10400F which is £50 cheaper than the 3600 but performs the same in games.

10400f would be a good option do you have a ssd drive as you want windows and games on the fastest drives ?
Wi-Fi needed ?

Or would you prefer amd 3600.

I have a HDD with windows 10 pro and don't need WIFI. The only reason I am saying the amd 3600 is that from what I have read online and the reviews i have seen, the amd 3600 and gtx 1660 are the best mid range combination for gaming

The 10400f matches the 3600 in gaming heres some options. You could sell yoir old parts .
