My current pc has had a very bad week curtosey of a failing mainboard so as it's a few years old now it's upgrade time. Ideally i'd have waited for ivybridge but that is no longer possible.

So far i have decided on the following:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-054-AK
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-080-AK
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-094-KS

i'm also tempted to get one of these to replace my old velociraptor

My main doubt is the GPU currently i have a GTX 280 and I dont know wether to go for nvidia again or go for ATI this time around, i'm looking to spend in the region of £250 can stretch that abit more if really needed.

Oh and it'll be mainly for playing SWTOR & Skyrim, your suggestions please.

Thanks in advance

The above looks good, though personally Id go for a Crucial M4 SSD over the Corsair, but onto the gfx card(s)

NVidia option would be a 570, ATI/AMD a 6970, both very similar in terms of performance tbh, toss a coin, or stick with what you know or try something different, not a lot in it

MSI Twin Frozr's of either would be a good choice due to the decent aftermarket cooling though

Agree with the MSI Twin Frozr's. My 6950 has the shaders unlocked and is overclocked to 6970 speeds but only runs at just over 60C. Completely stable playing bf3 etc and the MSI utility lets you set profiles so before playing games you can use the overclocked profile and when back to normal windows reset it back to stock speeds if you want to.
