Pc Upgrade help?

Hello I hope you are all well. I been away from building a few years but still gaming and was looking for opinions/advice on a possible upgrade?

My monitor is needing upgraded but likely will only go to 26" inch no bigger but probs do this later.

Here is my system:

Intel i7-3770K CPU @3.50ghz w/c
MSI Big Bang Mobo
16gb corsair ddr3 (1333mhz irc)
AMD radeon 7900 3gd ddr5 memory 1250 core 800
Corsair 750w psu

24" inch 1080 60hz monitor

I love my 7900 but I know its old but only has 3gb so I thinking of new card, was considering buying this https://www.overclockers.co.uk/powe...raphics-card-black-friday-deal-gx-197-pc.html but would welcome any advice or suggestions. Thanks
 
That's a good choice to breath a little more life into your system, I recently put an RX580 in a very similarly specced build (also coming from a 7900 series) and it was a very healthy performance improvement. I'm easily running modern games (Borderlands 3, The Outer Worlds, Disco Elysium, Resident Evil 2 Remake and a few more) at a solid 60FPS/1080p. As long as you're happy to lower settings in one or two areas your rig + a RX590 will offer solid performance in most games at 1080p.

@ExRayTed Hi its a corsair HX750 modular and has been running for about 6-7 years so probably gonna go soon.

I have done some research and I am interested also in the the geforce 1660 ti version I can get several brands at £250.00, I felt this might give a wee bit more future proofing and allow for a monitor upgrade say 26inch. Do you guys think this card based on £250.00 budget for ultra settings at 1080p is best choice. Thanks
 
@sideways Hi yes this is good advice I done some reading on it all it requires is some patience : )

@ExRayTed I appreciate your advice but still cant decide, it would be first time I ever buy nvidia in my long gaming life.

I gave in today got a 1660TI for £250. It been so long since upgraded so now thinking CPU which means new board and ram. MY budget £500- 550. Thinking of getting a ryzen 7 based on budget. I am considering these at the moment but would really appreciate any comments or suggestions on this. Thanks guys
