Hi All,

Currently thinking about doing an upgrade, after chatting with people around Microsoft Flight Sim. and thinking it might be time. It's been 5 years, and the below spec has served me well.

Current spec.

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 3.4GHz
Mobo: Asus B450M Pro4
RAM: Corsair Ven. LPX 32GB DDR4-3000
Storage: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB
GPU: EVGA 1070TI SC
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G+
Case: Corsair 240
Monitor: Dell S2716DG 27"

Gaming wise: BG3, Tarkov, Cyberpunk, VR games, NMS, Darktide
Future: STALKER 2, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Starfield (maybe)

I am thinking upgrade wise

CPU: 5800-3DX (bios updated needed)
Storage: 2TB M2 (other M2 will go on the slower m2 slot.)
GPU:?

I'm a bit lost with GPUs, as they just seem insanely priced and not actually sure what a good option might be. Would the 40 series actually be a good investiment with the above spec and upgrade, or am I throwing money at the wrong thing. 3080 serve me better? Any series to absolutely avoid?

4070 would be fine. It's the best card between the 4060 Ti, 4070 and 4070 Ti. Try to get it as close to £500 as possible.
