Pc upgrade need advice

I wanted to upgrade my pc with a new graphics card so have duo but im unsure which graphics card to buy and which psu. my budget is about £200-£300 if possible. the lower the better but optimal preferred.

also im unsure whether or not to upgrade my ram

Your specs look good, is your 670 starting to struggle or are you just taking the opportunity to upgrade?

As for a specific card. The GTX970 is in that price range and the best value card of the moment. I'd suggest the Galax 970 Black, as it has a high stock OC and great cooling for less than other cards such as the Gigabyte G1 and Asus strix.

Your PSU should easily be able to handle a GTX 970 or possibly two if you go SLI later.

No need to upgrade your RAM, 8gb is currently enough for gaming.

just have money and wanted to upgrade. i need a new psu though as its slowly on its way out and was told i should probably get a 900w psu (not a reliable source)

900w for a single card? That's not true. You can run an over clocked 4790k and a Gtx970 off a 450w PSU with ease. Even for SLI 900w is excessive (depending on the GPU) for 970 SLI 700-750w is ideal for Xfireb290Xs (for example) 850w is reccomended.

was for running 2 cards. I'm clueless and i know very little about building computers. also i know it's on it's way out as i've had some issues with my pc and had someone come out to look at it.

i ordered it 2 years ago and moved house since then and lost all the paperwork related to it
 
Ordered online? then there should be a record in your online account.

Also try bequiet direct, they may do it from the serial number and wont need a receipt.
