Hi guys,

Looking for a bit of quick advice on what my best option is for increasing the performance of my PC, particularly as I've just bought DOOM and it has some pretty annoying slowdowns even on medium settings that I'd like to get to a much more stable setup.

Am I correct in thinking that it's my graphics card that is the bottleneck here? If that's the case would I be better trying to get hold of a marched card to SLI them, or just upgrade the card to something more powerful I assume SLI would struggle on my PSU anyway?

My CPU is at stock speed at the moment too. Assuming graphics card is the bottle neck, how far am I away from the CPU being the next thing?

Many thanks in advance.

Spec below:

Gigabyte Z97MX-Gaming 5 Intel Z97 (Socket 1150)

Intel Core i5-4690K 3.50GHz (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Processor

KFA2 Geforce GTX 770 2048MB GDDR5

TeamGroup Vulcan RED 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17100C11 2133MHz Dual Channel

Antec TruePower Classic 750w '80 Plus Gold' Power Supply

I think the lack of vram will hinder the game not and looking at others who have sli 770 its not good. personally get the single fastest card you can afford.

Do you have a budget ? lol just seen it.

Second buying a single card over sli. The Rx 480 nitro is within budget and would run doom max settings no problem. Alternatively you could pick up a 1070 (over budget slightly) for a little more which would be decent for 1440p if you ever decide to get a new monitor, or you could wait and see what the 1060 brings when it's announced next week. The 1060 should be bang on 300 quid or less when released.
