I can't get my current pc to work at all and have already posted on the site for help but haven't been succesful in applying the advice given to get my pc to work. I imagine that if i put my pc into somewhere to get fixed it could end up costing me a lot anyway so i'm considering either upgrading my pc or getting a laptop. I'm starting a new job which would require me to travel around and i think a laptop would come in handy whereas i already have a lot of components towards building a pc so i don't know what to do. The current spec for my pc is:
AMD Athalon XP Processor 3000+ 512kb cache 333MHz FSB
Motherboard: MICRO-STAR MS-6716
Graphics card: nVidia GeForce FX5200 128mb DDR-RAM
Hard Drive: 80GB Ultra ATA 100 interface
DVD ROM Drive
DVD RW Drive
Think the problems would probably be caused by either my psu, graphics card or it might even be my power button but i would consider upgrading anyway if that was the problem. So if i was getting a new pc i would probably keep the dvd drives and the hard drive but would considering scrapping the rest. I would have a budget of £500 if i was getting a laptop but wouldn't look to spend quite as much as that if i was upgrading. I will be using the pc for work and internet browsing but do use it a lot for footy manager and also play a bit of age of empires online.
Any suggestions?
