OK

I’ve got £350 to upgrade my brothers mother in laws PC.

I won’t need

Monitor
Keyboard /mouse
Case
Speakers

Maybe a new PSU as the old one could be dead

Onboard sound, Decent ish GFX what can I get for this? Also needs SATA HDD.

Many thanks all, I know the budget isn’t huge, reason I’m asking on here before I buy.

What is the system to be used for mainly? Does it need an OS also? The answers will affect what is the most suitable system. :)

Yes good question. Mostly general home internet, office and I know they'll want something to play a few games of golf on, perhaps not the latest version of tiger woods, and not at the max settings, just enough to run it at a lower res smoothly.

O/S isn't needed, I will transfer from the old system, they are running Windows XP - not bothered about Windows Vista at this time.

If the PSU isn't dead... :)

If the PSU is dead then I'd go for something like this, if not then I don't think you'll beat flibby's specification. :)
