Well if you want to keep your current PSU, case, and HDD you can get the following which would be a huge upgrade, assuming it'll fit in your case and your PSU is up to the task:
Are you currently overclocking your X2? Is your motherboard AGP or PCI-e? A cheaper upgrade might be the X1950 Pro I mentioned above and a 1x2 GiB DDR 400 kit.
You won't be able to get a 6000+ unless you get a new motherboard, as yours is socket 939 and everything higher than 4800+ is for socket AM2. At that point you might as well switch to the Intel side since they're faster for the money right now.
