PC Upgrade:)

Hello there,

Am doing a bit of deal with a friend, giving him all the old bits out of mine while upgrading mine He's got hdd, pci graphics card and a case.

My current system,

2.4 dual core intel
2 by 1gig of corsair 800mhz ram
an intel motherboard of some sort
8800 gtx 768mb
800watt psu(can't remember make)

so basically he'll have the cpu, mb and ram.

My new system will be,

2.4 quad core(q6600)
Ballistix 1024mhx ram(2x1gb)
Asus Maximus Formula X38 mb
plus my gtx, hdd and psu.

Now two questions really,

will his system run off a 450watt psu?(his graphics card is an Nvidia 256mb card) and also, how's my new system sound? All compatible and good?

Am hoping all my new gear'll be good for some nice overclocking.

should be ok if the 450 is a decent psu and it depends on what graphics card hes running.

for you're spec drop the memory to geil or gskill 6400.

best to re install xp with a new mobo.
