Some advice please...
Been out of the picture traveling for quite a while, now I'm back I'd like to upgrade my PC (Bioshock just isn't running as smoothly as I'd like). Current setup is:-
E6600 @ 3ghz
Asus P5W-DH Mobo
4GB (4x1gb) G.Skill HZ 6400 RAM
Nvidia 8800GTX (768MB)
Seasonic 600W PSU
The less parts I need to chuck out of my current setup, the better. I'm tempted by Quad Core, thanks to the now super low prices (they were cheap a year ago, but now... wow!). A single ATI 4870 combined with a Q6600 are very tempting, considering the price. Does anyone know how these would run on my current 975 motherboard with existing power supply? Appears they're compatible... Would I benefit muchly by upgrading to a P45 mobo?
Thanks muchly
