Hi im looking for some help and advice here, I made a build about 2 years ago which consisted of

ASUS M3N78 Motherboard
2GB DDR2 RAM (Unknown value RAM)
Nvidia Geforce 9500GT 512MB GFX Card
5200RPM 320GB HDD
Trust 570W Dual rail PSU
Arctic Freezer Pro Rev 2
AMD Phenom x3 8520
Bosse Galaxy II Case with 1x 120mm Case fan and 1x 80mm side case fan
Dvd-cd drive ( I aint botherd what this is )
Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I looked into it and my current mobo doesnt support ddr3 ram as i want to upgrade her a little bit to atleast 8GB and ddr2 is so expensive.

Can anybody suggest upgrades to make as i want to make it abit more modern and last abit longer
 
Both really, I seem to open lots at once. I mean gfx wise thats on a seperate budget as my monitors a load of **** so im getting a monitor and gfx card in boxing day sales hopefully. Its mainly mobo ram nd maybe some new fans or case?

Im FULLY open to suggestions though cos i just wana make it last another year or 2 if i can get away with it
 
Any chance u can bang my build to amd.. Ive never had much luck with intel im afraid unless i can be persuaded wtf its advantages are? :P
 
It is isnt it.. Twice as good, Okay i am sold on Intel for now.. Would an i3 suit me fine for what i do though? Low spec gaming occasion mmo ,cod4 nd whatever the gf wants to play (sims nf facebook games *EYEROLL* ) I mean i got my ps3 for my saints row 3 etc. This is just for online mmo's nd browsing stuff :P
 
Are these temps too hot also? :') I have poor cooling and ventilation in this room. Towers on my desk also now used to be hotter..

Idle / Playing music through the old itunes nd sometimes youtube its uptime is 3 hours so far as i had it in bits earlier to clean dust :') Apparently the cpu is generally one tht kicks out a lot of heat? Or am i being told lies there
 
CPU compared to what? CPU and GPU will be what produces the most (if you game)

Give it a good clean, dust is terrible for temperatures! I clean my PCs out every few months if I can
 
It hasnt gamed at all today, It hasnt seen gaming in about 2 weeks as my laptops seen the abuse for a while. Are Arctic freezer 7 things any good? Is what ive got in it at moment.. As with my case.. its got 2 fans lol! One on back 120mm is slow and a bit dying.. side one is stock blue-led fan. Both are pushing air out also ? No expansion for any more fans on case.. Recommend cheap case?

I saw a NZXT Tempest 410 Elite Black Case earlier and took a liking for its ease.. of access and cleaning. I would love to get a case especially with this free delivery :D
 
I put it on yeah and its on solid u cannot move it. The inside of my case is hot if u take the side off. I can go up abit more in budget on cases, Coolermaster doesnt look bad though
