I know what you mean, I ordered an older 2500k the other day and literally the day after thought 'Nah, I'll buy a few Ryzen parts' Now I have to builds on the go :p

Your current system sounds pretty beasty tbh

Yeah i know its mad how we always want better even if what we have got is enough. Might just upgrade the PSU for now as i reckon im going to start choking it soon. Yeah its a good PC just feel sometimes its not as quick as it could be lol. Just spent the last few days removing all the cluster ive acquired on it over the years to try and help.

Expensive hobby don't you think :p

What model Corsair is it you have? If your thinking about changing it, Try Superflower Leadex, Its a very capable powersupply and highly recommended

personally, I would suppress your upgrade urge.. Your current system will be fine for a few more years yet. I upgraded from a 3770k to 6770k last year with no notable performance gain, despite the extra logical cores and upgrading to DDR4. In fact, I can't OC the newer CPU any more than the Ivy Bridge I had setup so it wasn't one of my best moves or upgrades.
