PC upgrades in preparation for BF6

Yeah, I wouldn't upgrade to the XT without a PSU upgrade personally. 650w would be cutting it fine, as others have said.

The cheapest 9070 non-XT on OcUK at the moment is £489. Adding RAM will most definitely go over the £600 I think.

Great, thanks for the advice. More than happy with the second hand market.

If for example I purchased a 9070 today to take advantage of the sales, but take a few weeks to shop around for the DDR4. Would my current 16GB of ram be detrimental to the performance of the GPU? Or would it run okay until I'm able to source the 32GB of DDR4?

you would be fine, what you would probably see is that your gameplay would be more stuttery on 16GB compared to 32GB as you become RAM limited (esp bigger maps with more players)

Thanks everyone for your insight, it's helped me massively.

9070 is in the basket and I'll look to get some budget friendly DDR4.
 
Shop around for the ram iv seen ddr4 cheaper than some main pc parts sites u may just have to wait for delivery a bit longer
