PC Upgrades

I been informed by a supplier who sells overclocked bundles that coolers like the Cooler Master Hyper 612S and Thermalright True Spirit 140 can only be certified to a 4.2 overclock. Something like a 4.5 overclock would be risky.
What overclocks do people generally achieve with one of these coolers?

have you already bought that cooling fan?

if not get the below that i posted earlier

YOUR BASKET
1 x Xigmatek Dark Knight SD-1283 Night Hawk Edition CPU Cooler (Socket LGA 2011/1366/1156/1155/775 and AMD FM1/AM3/AM2+/AM2) £31.20
Total : £36.19 (includes shipping : £4.16).

And ignore shipping on it, its £31.20

i've got my I7 3770 running off one of these @ 4.3 GHZ. as a test i opened up as many background apps as i could. then ran a prime95 heat test and then while all that was running ran a shogun 2 total war DX11 1080p GFX test.

think one core hit 61 degrees, not too shabby when you think it wont ever really be put under that sort of stress anyway. usually sits idle between 21-26 and dosent go past 55 degrees under load of playing games
