So I recently upgraded the above parts and the 1070 now sits on top of my SATA connectors. I have my 2 SSD fitting perfect. But my old 1TB Sata harddrive cable is squashed under the 1070. And the 1070 isn't sitting properly now in it's slot. Because of this I'm thinking of upgrading to a Z77 Motherboard that isn't effected by the 1070 Slot.
I need a Motherboard that has Display Port connector takes a Intel i7 2nd/3rd generation. And has the Sata Cables bottom of the 1070 Slot. I've been looking at ASUS Motherboard: P8Z77-V PRO as the Sata connectors are pointing to the right and NOT straight up.
The main problem i'm having is places to purchase it.

There are 4 standard ports on the lower edge of the board well away from the first pci-e slot, are you using all of these?

Is it just the grey ports that are blocked?

Those bottom 4 slots are only sata 2 while the top pair are sata 3. It's a stupid place that Asrock has put them really. If they had some reason to place them that way they should have made them right angled slots and then these problems wouldn't crop up.

Grab yourself Silverstone CP11 SATA cables and all of your problems will melt away. They are quite pricey for SATA cables, but certainly cheaper than buying a new motherboard!
