Hello

Does anyone know any software, or the best way to monitor a PCs usage.

I have been asked to fit 6 PCs to a remote location, with the possibility of removing some of they are not used enough.

Hopefully they will be on the internet, so I was hoping they would upload the results occasionally to an FTP server or similar. If not, the results would need to be restored locally...

Thanks

useage of what

if your wanting to know what websites they visit, easy

if your wanting to know what applications they are loading once logged on. Not so easy

or are you just wanting to kno who signed on and when ?

Well, we want to know if the machines are being used at all.

So anything that shows that.
I suppose Applications would do that best, as it would give us a good idea of what they are being used for, and for how long....

Are the people going to be logging in and then back out when finished with them?

If so you could make a login/logout script which logs the times locally.

that would be hard

if your boss is asking for monitoring of what time people log in/out and who logs in/out. Thats a bit more realistic

dont think there's a program out there that will monitor what programmes are loaded and log the time and user that launched it.
