Hi,

I've just installed a new cpu cooler and my computer wont boot with 2 sticks of ram. It seems to work fine with either stick of ram in slot 1.

Dr Debug on my Asrock MB comes up with error 45 which is something to do with memory but I dont know what.

Any ideas?

Thanks

You might have overtightened the cpu cooler which can make the board bend, resulting in part of the processor more specifically the memory controller, not making proper contact with the board.

Reseat the CPU Heatsink or unscrew the screw near the dimms slightly :D

That'll be the problem ^, shouldn't have done any damage I wouldn't have thought.

Thanks for the quick reply. I've loosened the screw off quite abit, they're not even finger tight now and it works fine. I'll keep an eye on temps and reseat the cooler if necessary cba to do it this time of night.
