PC will not shut down.

I have just built a new pc, everything installed ok, it starts and resets without any problems.
Graphic,s gets closed down on shut down command, but not the tower. OS is Vista 64bit SP1 with latest Bios installed.

Q6600
Gigabyte EP45-DS5
OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 Dual Channel Vista Gold Series DDR2
Corsair 620 psu

could be a faulty psu?

what gfx you got?

Are you pressing the power button on the start menu, as that defaults to sleep or hibernate, and not shut down. Use the Shut Down command next to it (Arrow on the right of the padlock).

Did that the first time using Vista

I did the same with my mams laptop, i was unaware about how to shut down vistas properly at first, it kinda just goes to sleep.

ya gotta click the arrow and select shut down

also did that first time on vista. just change it in power options so that it allways shuts it down
