I'm new to having wireless in my desktop as my old one was wired and I have only had laptops since which came with it built in.

So is simply all that I need to connect to my internet wirelessly is a network card such as this one http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-001-TP ?

The PC will be of these components if it makes any difference:

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz
Asus GeForce GTX 480
Asus P8P67 Intel P67 Motherboard
Zalman Z9 Plus Case
XFX Pro 650W Core Edition Power Supply
OCZ Gold 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II
OcUK 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter

Thanks.

Yes, that's all you need. Make sure you have a spare PCI slot in your PC.
The components won't make any difference.

Easy to install, just plug it in, start windows, install the drivers from disk (although latest may be available on their website) and you're sorted.
