Been at uni for the past 3 months and sadly had to leave my PC behind. had a lot of movies on one of the harddrives but didnt think of it til the last minute so i ended up take all but my SSD bootdrive with me because i didnt know which drive they were on. came home today, plugged everything back in and windows wouldnt boot at all.
when checking the BIOS it had changed from AHCI to IDE so i changed it back and windows booted to the logo screen and froze halfway through and sent me to the statup repair. startup repair failed to fix anything and it keeps doing the logo screen-freeze-startuprepair-restart. anybody got any ideas as to why its doing this? i tried unplugging my other HDD's to test just the SSD but when i do that it says please insert a proper boot device.
Thanks in advance
