PC won't boot after new gfx card purchase

Recently bought myself an https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-052-HS

It arrived today, and I assumed I knew what I was doing. I've uninstalled the catalyst driver thing ( i think ), although I didn't do that at first.

I swapped the cards over, and plugged everything back in. New card only has 1 6 pin connector slot, old one has 2, so I was a little thrown at first.

Everything seemed fine, right up until i tried to run the pc. It fails to boot. Fans spin, lights come on, but then nothing.

My pc normally does a couple of beeps when booting, but with the new card it, nothing.

I've swapped them back around a couple of times, and my old card (an HD 5850) works fine everytime.

Please help. There's probably a glaringly obvious solution, but I can't for the life of me figure out what's wrong.

Thanks in advance.

i have heard of a few issues peeps are having with some new cards and flashing to the latest bios has fixed the issue most times.
