PC won't boot from CD.

Hello,

I'm currently trying to do a fresh install of Windows 8 however even after changing the boot order in the BIOS as well as attempting to force boot to the CD drive, it continues to load up the welcome screen for me to log in.

I know the drive reads the disc since it recognises it when on my desktop and asks what I want to do.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

Sometimes there's a key to choose boot device during startup, maybe F12.

Or you could try converting disk to bootable USB if all else fails.

Make a bootable USB if you've got a spare one. It's easier and quicker!
